Hypothetically, How much would 8bitMMO cost?

So, Robby, hypothetically speaking, how much would it cost to buy 8bitMMO off of your hands, taking into consideration it's low activity, lack of future plans for it, and limited (if not nonexistant) income. 

 

I just want to know, hypothetically, how much it would cost to own 8bitMMO, not including server costs.

 

and if you just want to give it away, i won't complain xd

There's a longer thread somewhere about this, but the TLDR is it's not for sale -- and practically speaking, you would need someone with deep knowledge of C++, SQL, TCP, Java and various other technologies to keep it up and running anyway.  It's not like running a minecraft server.

 

If you really want to operate an MMO, I would encourage you to write one from scratch.  A) You'll learn more, B) It'll best fit whatever your game design goals are, and C) people will be more interested in trying something new than trying something old.
