I'm having issues with ads popping up in all Java-based games (Including 8bit because I no longer use Steam) so I can't play. But I still can go to forum, make some posts and threads using my phone.

I missed you all :(

AVG Antivirus free is also great (free.avg.com/us-en/free-downloads) Just run a virus scan after you download it and it will get rid of any viruses it finds.

P.S.: Whatever you do, don't get McAfee

I used "malwarebytes anti-malware" it got rid of a few viruses for me

PROTIP: Don't use Avast or Norton (both suck at doing their jobs)

Agree with Starman, Avast has been known to interfere with programs and cause weird issues.  Malwarebytes is what I use

I prefer buying a new computer than having to wait for them to work.

Believe me, I've tried them all and It didn't work.

I use Spybot, Malware Bytes along with HijackThis (which you need to know what you're doing with, the log it gives doesn't just list malware, a lot the entries are files essential for the computer to run.)

Is it only an issue in browser based java? If so, try a different browser; if not or that doesn't help, try uninstalling and reinstalling all java components on your computer.

If all else fails, and you are willing to, wiping the Hard Drive (or solid state drive) and re-installing Windows should work (make sure to make/have a Windows disk), but obviously you'll lose all data and settings, so backing up files you want to keep to another drive is advisable. Alternatively, putting in a new blank drive and installing Windows on that would also work.
Also, if using Windows 10, I'm not sure if you'll need the product key before uninstalling, use key fetching software to find it if need be. (e.g. ProduKey or Ultimate PID Checker)

PS. I'm sorry to hear that you're still having these issues.

What's so bad about McAfee?
