I'd really like to know because it sort of seems likes weird characters to add as villains.

its just the dev's sense of humor. its funny for game reviewers who play the game to kill other game reviewers.

The theme of the enemies are based on hated classes of society such as Lawyers (Copy Right), Game Reviewers (Who are really strict on scores) Hipsters ( we all hate hipsters) etc.
