DD-WRT is awesome for that. Ill never buy another router that doesnt support it. I just wish I had the money for a rackmount router
It doesn't have to be rackmount.
Just use an old PC.
The steaming turd my ISP provided to me dropped like a little girl when I was getting DDoS'd by some stupid child because I upset him.
I installed pfSense on an old PC and he was no longer a problem

I need your opinion: I have important stuff on my windows, but I want to try out Linux. Which one should I get and would dual-booting be a good idea?
If you just want something that's easy, use Linux Mint.
Stay away from anything ubuntu.
If you want to learn how Linux works, and how to get the most out of your system try out Arch Linux or Gentoo.

On top of that, Linux normally comes on a LiveCD, meaning you can run it without installing it, complete with firefox.

I haven't seen a Rule thread anywhere. I know the universal rules of forums and games, but what about more in the grey area? What do you allow or disallow that would vary from game to game, forum to forum?
