First I'd like to say I played an actual amount of probably 2 minutes of gameplay before I turned it off and wasn't in the mood to play. Nothing about the game itself I just didn't feel like dealing with the early parts of an MMO and with the 50 other people on the screen I just decided it wasn't a good day to try and get into it.
Well probably the next day I decide to turn off Steam, as I have it activated/played through steam and it informs me I must stop playing 8bitMMO to close. Weird must be an error, I use task-manager to close steam as it would not let me manually close the game.
Now I use Raptr to track game play and it informs me I played a wopping 17+ hours of gameplay. Weird must be the previous issue that just made it think I was still playing.
Now that was like 12/25. Today being the 30th, I decide I want to close Steam and it happens again. So I close it using Task-Manager, reopen steam a second later and try to close it again out of curiosity. The game was only ever opened ONCE and it believes I have been playing for 130+ hours straight.
Currently it makes no sense. Steam wouldn't let me open other games if it had one running. I can no longer open 8bitMMO because it believes its already running.
Does anyone know why it thinks I've been playing 8bitMMO non-stop? I'm sure I've restarted my computer since I first ran the game last week and it seems if I choose to open Steam is when it begins to play endlessly but I don't know if its actually running anything in the background cause I don't see anything out of place on my Task-Manager.
Anything I can do to stop this? I cannot delete the game files because steam wont delete anythng thats in use and even windows explorer thinks it is in use even when steam is closed.
