I like how they say we hand around IRC. If all mods did was hang around IRC, then how is the game being moderated? How are mods muting people? We actually do our jobs correctly. Just because you don't think we are doesn't mean anything, 99% of people who say that couldn't do a better job anyways. Making the reason they aren't a mod.

Think through what you are saying before you say it. Just do it to keep ignorance out of the 8bitMMO forums.

Link, you're wrong. Sorry about that. If mods was only in IRC, we wouldn't ever be in-game (which 90% of the time there's a mod in-game). Please think through that again.

You can bot pretty much any game, it's really just about how many bots there are compared to players. Runescape sucked because it seriously seemed like it was a 3:1 ratio of bots to real players, especially in certain areas with useful stuff like yews or whatever. Hopefully that doesn't ever happen in this game, because that'd be disappointing.

Also, why do certain people get confused as mods? Is it because of their presence ingame or something?

They get confused because they demonstrate all the qualities of being a mod.

I've never used AutoHotKey (don't really even know what it is) but hearing its name reminds me of the good old days when I would tape the action key down for whatever game I was playing. Not really all that useful now that I actually think about it though.

I did some analysments and research and this is my conclusion:

45% of the mods are offline all the time.

15% of the mods are on IRC all the time.

15% of the mods are AFK all the time.

20% of the mods are actually online and doing their job.

5% of the mods are a mix of all four mentioned above.

Stand at Zoo, write script to keep attacking for you.

You can't bot, get caught botting, get banned. End of story.

Also, we do our jobs. We wouldn't be mods if we weren't. We do a pretty good job, that which I KNOW you and link couldn't do even half as well. So you can stop saying what mods are doing. Hell, if we aren't doing our job like you said, then the whole world would still be trolled, none of us would help new players, and no one would be getting muted. The world would be in anarchy without us. I'm tired of people like you and link complaining about us, we do our job and you're just saying that in hopes of becoming a mod. It just shows you two will never become one.

I'm a moderator over at a large forum host, and honestly, the work you do as a mod goes completely unnoticed, especially if you're doing it properly (kinda like computer IT). I gave up on being offended by this kind of thing awhile ago. Makes life ten times easier.

Ahh I know what you mean. Thing is, I hate it when people complain about something they know they can't do and say we're doing a bad job. They just don't know what they are talking about. It makes me nervous to know that people today butt into something, while not knowing what they are saying. It's more of a desperate way for attention. In my opinion.
