Hey, I'm new to the game, and I've heard a lot of talk about towns already. I've been to a few during some quests, and some towns are really impressive. :)

But I was wondering what the perks of citizenship were, apart from being able to share your built creation with others without having to invite people to your Pocket Universe. So far I've built a house in there(with a lot of time and trouble, damn oversensitive z axis.), and I was wondering if joining a town would get me further in the game then just going solo.

Often, people enjoy the communities that towns offer. They like to help build the towns, and sometimes like to build together, not solo. I hope that answers your question, if you have more, ask away!

Well, to be honest, it only let's you build your house. Nothing else. The entire game leads up to getting a town. so basiclly getting a town means Game Win.
and if you quit, it's a game over....

Not really, I've had 4 town's under my possession before...

So noted. ^^ I'm plat-less however, and too broke to be able to buy plat items off other players. I've considered finding a spot in the wilderness so I can get into the social aspect of the game, but I'm not sure if I can lose my stuff if I don't have an owner door.

People can't pick up your blocks. You'd just have to worry about someone placing a town there.

Some perks of being a citizen of a town are (Just a few),

1. If anyone griefs your house or structure in a town the mayor can pick up the grief blocks. (If it is in the town of course)

2. Friends. You can meet some pretty cool people here on 8bit when joining a town. Its just kinda hard to find a town that is looking for citizens. But ask away and eventually you might find one.

3. Anyone who is not part of the town CANNOT build in it. This means that noobs wont be able to grief you like they could in the wilderness.

Thats what I can think of right now :P

Have a great time in 8bitmmo!

I can offer a free 16x16 plot if you want, I just need you to get level 4.

Well, I'm level 6 at this moment. Can I get the tele to your town? I'd like to look around first if the offer still stands. ^^

I also have a town exclusive to lvl4s and you may get a free one if you ask me. (p.s It's still in development and it's called Lego City)

In development. Sounds interesting. Send me the tele command and I'll have a look around. I'd love to hear what you have planned. ^^

Scatterbrain, give me 10 minutes and I'll add you, but this is the command: /towntele ie

That command only works if you're a citizen so I'll post here when I add you.

Okay. Feel free to delete me if I decide not to live there, though. I'm not sure if there's a citizen limit, but I wouldn't want to crap up your list of citizens if I'm I decide not to build anything on a lot in your town. ^^
