I like the water drowning effect, it's really cool, but ...

since it's only a half-height tile, would it be possible to have the game check that you are actually in two half-height tiles deep of water, thus completely immersed, before trying to drown you.

It gets kind of annoying, standing in my shallow bathtub or sink, knee-deep in water, and drowning from that. It was funny the first time, though. :D

Yes this issue was brought up within minutes of the release of water. Other things have been brought up as well. Water will probably be improved in the future but I can not say for sure or when. It's up to sim. ps. You can drown from water that's not even there if you hold a tile above your head before even placing it. Glad to see you are still around.

Cool, thanks for the info. :)

I never left; I just have very little time to play these days. I still think 8bit is very cool, especially that you can build your own stuff; I think these kinds of games, as with (early) Minecraft, are an awesome alternative to *grind grind pew pew* models.

Yea it is a nice change of pace that's for sure. I still think simcity on the snes is one of the best ever. Also liked old school civilization a lot. I find they have both become far too complicated and gotten out of hand though. The newest simcity looks pretty good but all I have heard about it is how bad the connection is and you HAVE to be online to play it. As for minecraft I tried it and the mechanics is good but I don't like the size and scale and I prefer to have more rpg elements. Hopefully sim can get more quests and stuff like that added.

There's a sorting issue with water where it doesn't always render quite right. Once I fix that, I will probably make it so you don't drown in 6 inches of water. ;)
