This thread is for providing your fellow 8bit:ers with tips of how to better succeed in the game. Don't be shy. Even if you think you might be the only one who think the tip is not obvious for, I promise there are a couple of other people who can benefit from it.

I'll start:

How to hunt Lawyercats

When hunting Lawyercats, don't kill them one by one. Instead, go to a really remote area where there's lots of them. Get close enough so that a Lawyercat starts chasing you. Then pass another Lawyercat close enough so that he chase you as well. Keep doing this until you have 10-20 cats chasing you. How many you can have probably depends somewhat on your internet connection, since too many will make you lag out and be killed. When there's enough, kill them all with a single stroke of your blade and feel like a boss. 8)

Roads

I really like roads. I've spent a lot of time in the game building and promoting the Great Western Road. Making a well maintained and functioning road network not only makes travelling easier, but also gives the world a more coherent structure. Also, travelling by road is much nicer than teleporting!

* If you see a road, try not to build in its way, but instead to the side of it. If someone tries to build a road and you have put some random blocks in its way beforehand, maybe you can even move them a couple of blocks to the side?

* If you build a road, try to maintain it. If someone builds next to it, let your road connect to them, or at least open up a spot in the sidewalk if you have one. When I was new, psy let me connect my road to his, and now I try to walk the whole of the Great Western Road at least once a week to connect it to new towns and buildings. If you build next to it, I will let you connect. If you make a new town or a nice landmark, I will put up a sign!

Disclaimer: I'm no longer the only builder of the Great Western Road, so I can really only speak for the part I maintain!

Its possible to make a tree by first making a 3*2 stack of wood like so:

Then stacking grass on top (Here's how I like to do it)

Then simple remove the extra wood

And wallah! a tree! This can make your home or area look a lot more natural and fun!

Good tip -- you can also use Z-Axis Lock or Shift to build in mid-air. Draco has a quest about it.
