Okay, so we all know 8BitMMO is dying fast, but I had an idea today that could help the game. You know how 9Bit is supposed to be 3d but some of the furniture is 2D? make some voxel models for the game, they are easy to make and there are tons of successful voxel games. One game that i found that is closest to 8bitmmo's art style is Trove ( www.trionworlds.com/trove/ )

I also made a few blocks in voxel using MagicaVoxel!


Edit: if anybody wants me to make more models then i can, I can also post the .vox file if you want me too.

I would not say the game itself is dying. The player count might be dipping low but the game is fine. As far as I know simy is still uhh well keeping it on life support. I hope.

Yes, this has been said many times before but the game has survived on lower player-counts.

He's probably already considered it, or he is in the process of making the furniture better, thank you for the compliment!

It seems as though sim9 is considering this idea.

 

I fully support this, however hard it may be to actually implement.

It isnt that hard at all, it took me 30 mins to make those models, thanks! It will still look like a retro game, but more people would come since it will have decent models in the game.
