I play 8bitmmo browser edition.

 

There are three OSes I have/can use:
 

Windows, Mac, and Linux.

 

The problems with Windows are the facts that I use chrome and my old version of firefox just crashes when I try to load 8bit. Microsoft Edge doesn't support Java either.

 

The problems with Mac are the facts that the game is very glitchy on Macs, and Safari just gives me a grey screen when it tries to load 8bit.

 

The problems with Linux are the facts that I don't actually know my version of Java (it might be super old) and whenever I try to load 8bit, it just gives me a big red "Error" text.

 

I can't play on Steam / Standalone.

 

This might be one final goodbye, I'm not sure.

 

(P.S I forgot I have firefox on mac, I will try that later.)

Please, Madman. Stop referring others as "plebians" as it makes you seem like you have a superiority complex. Oh, and Microsoft Edge sounds way better than the crap Internet Explorer.

Go look up a command to find out your version of Java. On linux, if there is a will, there is a way. Seriously. You can do almost everything and get a program for almost everything on Linux. As a matter of fact, I'm curious now and want to go find one.

java -version 2>&1 | head -n 1 | awk -F '"' '{print $2}'

Boom. Got it. Put this in a terminal and it'll spit out the Java version. And if it doesn't work for some reason, go to this site and they've got a whole mine of commands for this purpose. I told you, if there is a will, Linux has a way.

And the purpose is anything to do with computers, but from what I've seen, mostly Linux problems.
