Hello. I am bored and I thought since I love to do nuzlockes (and variants) and I love 8bit I could combine them (in a sense) and so...

This Pokemon Pearl Nuzlocke Namelocke will have some extra rules along with the base ones.

 

 

Base Rules: 

1. If a Pokemon faints, it's no longer usable and will be boxed until the end, where all of the dead ones are released.

2. You may only catch the first Pokemon on a route, cave, forest, etc. and nothing else.

>Duplicate Clause: If a living member (box or not) is the same species as the first encounter, then it can be skipped and the next one will count. (Dead ones do not count)

>Shiny Clause: If a Pokemon encountered at all is shiny, then it may be caught, regardless of first encounter or not.

Added Rules:

1. Must name every Pokemon after an 8bit member. (Hence Namelock)

2. Can only buy pokeballs, and 100 per town max. NO POTIONS, STATUS HEALS, NONE.

>Freebies Clause: If an item is found, given, or obtained without purchasing, it is good to go. 

3. Battle style Set

I'd like to begin my journey as Starman. Shcky is my rival because in 8bit, he is my nemesis. 

   

The votes say Turtwig (or they DID, until SOME people changed their vote). The lucky(?) 8bit player who gets to be the team's base will be revealed in episode 1. I would prefer if no one made another thread and ripped of the idea of 8bit namelock n'such (without credit) and please do not hate me if you as a Pokemon die. please. 

 

Unfortunately, I am suffering from technical difficulties, and I may just illustrate a (terrible) comic, and then upload a screenshot album for evidence. Please do understand that this will take a long while.

u would have to be a gabite or gible first, and i doubt you would survive till you evolved into a garchomp. also the best sinnoh starter is chimchar cause he is faster than the rest (however an ev trained empoleon may be able to beat a infernape) infernape can rek empoleon and torterra.

i was under the impression that tortera was the strongest final evolution because it gains ground type making it less vulnerable to fire

empoleon gets steel and can rek torterra with it (since he is gotta go fast) and infernape can rek empoleon cause he is also fighting and can rek empoleon's steel.

ground is neutral to fire, so fire does reg damage, but ground is super effective on fire. With the fire type, it does super effective, thanks to grass.
ground > fire fighting > Steel and then grass > water

steel is useless on infernape and torterra. infernape .25x power bc fire fighting, torterra .5x power bc ground
