Heya,

So, I might not be going on 8bitmmo till Christmas. The reason being that I installed a bad driver on my linux pc, which I then switched to using the dual-booted windows 8. Afterwards, apparently someone in my household chose to reformat the D: drive... Which happened to contain Linux, and so grub was broken.

I also had a windows xp computer, which finally died after 13 faithful years... (only to be resurrected when I can be bothered messing with parts that were around back with DDR.) And then I don't quite have any computers I can use, since school blocked 8bitmmo and I'm being forced to write this on an android tablet.

On Christmas I should be getting a new computer though, so I'll be in game then. I will keep up with the forums of course, as well. So blackjack, if you could not remove my bank vault, that'd be great cause I'm not wanting to be inactive.

Why did you assign your ext4 partition a drive letter? How did you do that? I didn't even think Windows supported ext4.

also couldn't you just like... reinstall grub?

 

if you just want to go back to windows, you can boot into the windows dvd, open command prompt and enter

bootrec /fixmbr

bootrec /fixboot

bootrec /scanos

bootrec /rebuildbcd

That should reinstall the Windows Loader to your MBR and everything should work again.

Most of the time they just block anything to do with games, pr0n, fun etc

Also not all of the blocks are done by the school, sometimes it's done by the county (at least it is in yorkshire).

 

Buy a cheap VPN or use a free proxy, you might have to find an address to one on your tablet because most of the time anything containing "proxy" is blocked too.

There aren't very many computers that don't let you into the BIOS.

Your basically in the same situation as me but i probably wont get a computer for christmas... Yeah and i have to borrow a windows xp computer.. Windows xp computers are strong!! Plus 8bitmmo is blocked at my school and i dont know anyone who likes it and it was banned the 1st time i tried

On the bright side, I should lag less, it's touchscreen and I can use it in tablet for when I get it, so much more convenient
