The economy isn't made by sim.

It's made by the players.

I know that. In what part of that message did I say that sim made the economy?

simple solution:

lower max gold cycle to 500gold

harder to earn money so people have less money

items cost less

just like good ol' days with 4k townstones :)

Personally, this is unfair. The economy is the most broken part of 8bitmmo. And 1 player in particular said they'd sell plat for 500g per plat when they got plat, if needed. Players like this who boldly sell for 500g are what this game needs, for plat has gone way too high. from calculations, a 60-plat town expansions costs over 100k, yet it used to only cost about 30k.

Prices are terrible, so the guy who started this thread - sorry- only wants to break the economy further than it already is.

I honestly don't mind paying a decent chunk of gold for a plat item. Especially being someone who works a dead-end job, I know exactly how hard some people work for their money to buy plat in the first place. A few hours of chopping away for gold is fair payment for someone working real hours for their moolah. 500g always seemed WAY too generous to me (especially with enough public farms available for everyone to have a spot now [Mid-2013 and on]). I'd pay around 5000g per plat if it came to it. Think of the seller for a minute. I can barely buy 10 black bricks with 500g. So imagine if I spend my hard-earned money on plat only to sell it for 500g each and not even be able to finish one building with the gold I made from a sale? I would have to sell 7 or 8 townstones at 500g per plat just to fund the not-even-that-large building I made on Dire Island (not counting any of the plat items inside). That's almost $100, which is a good chunk of someone's paycheck. I grinded the gold for that in about a week (wasn't that hard). I'd have to sell 40 or more townstones for something fairly big. Heck, it took 10k grass or so just to lay the foundation of one of my towns. You telling me I'd have to sell 2 townstones at 5k each to lay down some grass? Seems kind of UNDERpriced if you really think about it. With 5000g per plat, or even just a few thousand, that gold would get you a little farther along towards your projects. 5000g would be around 5 hours of farming(given you're only really playing around 25 minutes, because of the resets I'm saying 5 hours). Half a day at most. Besides (other than increasing donations possibly) it might get players to play longer by having to farm more than an hour to buy something. Most townstones sell for like 30k (3000g per plat) as it is anyway. TL;DR The days of 500g per plat are long gone. I'm with withrowkaven, and will continue to sell all of my plat items at high prices.

Still doing the hand thing.

You make a good argument, if I'm honest. Fair point.
