Meh, I have a One and its pretty good honestly. People on the internet rag on it a lot, but you actually get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Also, considering how much hate the media stuff on it got, the tv/game switching is actually really good.
Well of course it got ragged on. They turned what was supposed to be a GAME console and turned it into something that does this, this, this, this, this, this, and this oh yea and with great difficulty and restrictions you can play games on it as well. WTF... Granted NOW they have much of the crap fixed but wow just wow. I seriously am glad Sony mopped the floor with them or they wouldn't have fixed 90% of it. Sucks for Nintendo though since if Sony wasn't there everyone would have got a wiiU instead.
Now I know there are still a lot of people that liked the xboxone even before it got changed but the point is you don't turn a game console into something people don't want and you sure as hell don't force people into buying junk by making it part of the console. You only do that if you are desperate to sell a product or desperate to get people to like it.... Oh wait....

Yeah Xbox isn't really a gaming console anymore, it's more of a universal remote control for your living room/bed room. Oh and yeah it plays games on the side too. I've heard rumors Microsoft has been having serious meetings of selling the Xbox name because of how bad the One has been doing. Not sure if it's true or not but it's what I've heard.

Weather it has ANYTHING to do with how bad the xbox has been doing or not I don't know but it was rumored that before MS's new CEO was appointed there were rumors that at least one of the candidates for CEO was considering it. AFTER it's poor sales and the fact that it is doing bad now. Rumors that investors were pushing to sell the xbox division and at least 2 other divisions. How much of any of that is true I can't say. The only that that is for sure is that xbox is doing bad. Even though it has been picking up with all the changes and fixes that have plagued it. Seriously though when you have to make that many fixes that quickly and are still just hanging on... you clearly made a bad system.
IF xbox does get sold It would be wise of Nintendo to pick it up so they can step back into being a real competitor against Sony. I love Sony but I hope they don't get it because they need the competitors, Competition is what drives the industry and holds prices at bay. Who knows what the industry holds in the future though. I am still waiting for telepotration, holodecks, and those damn self lacing shoes from " Back to the Future. " Time travel would be a huge bonus but I'm not holding my breath for that one.

False. I have 3 right now, capable of 6. Its not hard at all, everything is plug and play.

Not really.
You can get these really swanky monitor arms that can hold 6 monitors.

The problem I had with all that hate was that the xbox was still a game console. It does what it should be doing for games, and will do more. The thing about it is, if its just a game console people would complain that it doesn't do other cool stuff. I think that's why Microsoft geared it more as an entertainment system, and really, any gaming console is essentially an entertainment system. One and PS4 do: gaming, netflix, media, apps, blu ray movies, internet, twitch streaming, etc. The problem I think was them saying TV so god damn much during E3 and not focusing on the games as much.
At what point will people accept that gaming consoles will eventually become Media systems? They'll still be amazing with games, but having more content on the system apparently hurts it, and I don't get that.
But they're not amazing with games.
Consoles are useless and production of them should be stopped.
If you want media: build a HTPC, use a Chromecast, get a smart tv etc
If you want games: PC
Portable consoles like the PS Vita are decent though.
