Yeah, I used to play Ace of Spades. I just went on deathmatch, sat at the back of the map with a sniper and listened to the kiddies cry
Try OpenSpades. It's like classic AoS, with shaders, on steroids.

I might have a look at it, it looks a lot better than AoS but I don't like that huge minimap taking up my screen.
You can change the scaling in the Advanced settings.
