Go to the zoo or another mob spawner and farm there. Let's say you play for 6 hours. 6x60mins=360mins, 360mins/45mins=8, 45mins is gold reset time if I'm not mistaken. Now, 8x(ex.500, insert gold per/cycle)=4000 gold a day. You don't even have to stay logged on for the amount of time. Just periodically log in.
