So,

My programmers back at TechnoMagick requested an update to Visual Basic 2010 (which I was hoping for them to do :D) because they wanted to try it out and see how it is at programming. So, I happily obliged and activated it blah blah blah and played around with it a bit. Then we all thought that we should see how good you can make Word Processors in VB10 rather than VB6 (is it vb10? can't remember :P) and so I bring you... TechnoMagick Word!

We have a system of "tabs/pages" in which you can have multiple tabs in your doc (when you start it is neccessary to press "New Tab" or open a doc) and, also, as we published it we have now set it to autoupdate when neccessary. No more pesky downloading manually) and an actual installer! (Which comes with VB10 :P) Also, we currently have multiple features already, and similar stuff, and soon we plan to add more!

The Download is attached and note: The download will not be updated unless stated otherwise here. This is because the software will auto-connect to my computer, and if two things are met:

  1. My computer is on :P
  2. An update has been released

Then it will update itself!

Enjoy!

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Download the attached "TMWord.zip"
  2. Extract to wherever,
  3. Run "TechnoMagick Word"
  4. It will ask to install, click yes.
  5. Wait.
  6. Once it has finished installing, it should be in Start>All Programs>TechnoMagick Enterprises>TechnoMagick Word, run that. (Or it may auto-start)
  7. Voíla! You need not do anything except check this post every so often as the download will be updated every now and then for those who try it when my PC's off :P

  • .NET *throws up*
  • Why an annoying ClickOnce application? Why not a single executable?
If you can get it into one exe (check the bin folder) I'd try it out.

It only is one application... the bin is the inner workings, youre not allowed in there :P
Ill take a look ;) see if i can pull some strings, no doubt my fellow programmers are gonna kill me :P

Inner workings? Yeah, but if you install it via the ClickOnce application then those files are just installed to your PC.

I'm talking about the .NET framework. Like C#, VB.NET etc.

It also checks my very own folder named "release" and then if something has been added there, it downloads. Similar is that if i edit the actual thing, it saves the new files as a new build and then the updater will check there for new build.

Better than VB6!!

I don't know.
VB6 isn't as bloated and slow as VB.NET

Yes, but vb.net adds ability for an autoupdater, vb6 takes a really long process for that ;)

There's a pretty decent library that lets you create auto updaters easily without ClickOnce.

Clickonce, remove after.

Also who are your programmers and your peers I hear you talk so much about?

We all pretty much live in the same area. They don't play this :-(
FYI we are accepting new members, just ask with an explanation as to why etc.
If you join, you also get the ability to release updates to this application and access to edit it in vb10.
