Hi,

 

So recently I got a new programming software and wanted to test it out, therefore, I bring you... MY VERSION OF NOTEPAD!

 

It's a work in progress and is due to be updated tons in the future, but for the moment it happens to be perfectly usable. It comes with a Readme to explain the stuff about it. IF YOU USE THIS SOFTWARE, ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE READ THE Readme.txt FILE BEFORE USE, AS THERE IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF IT'S USE. If anything goes wrong in this software that is not an error, do not blame me for everything is explained in the Readme.

 

If you have any ideas for it, please notify me on this topic.

Also, anyone with programming knowledge may join TechnoMagick, my not-so-new 'programming-team' for programming. Also, people who know Visual Basics 6.0 and how to use it/program it will also be accepted. Thanks!

You're using VB6? That's WAAAAY too easy. Hell, I had made a simple notepad just as an addon to a bigger piece of software. Easy stuff my friend.

however, people with knowledge of VB6 will be accepted into TechnoMagick because this software is due to be continued with updates, 'cause it is quite basic atm.

It's a nice piece of kit, but why should we use this instead of Notepad? Why should we use this instead of Sublime Text?

 

I'm not bashing your 1337 coding skills, but you should come up with new ideas!

Hey, you should use Visual Basic 2013 instead of VB6, VB6 is very outdated and 2013 is much more powerful.

 

Also you should use a SaveDialog instead of an inputbox for saving and loading

 

If you want to get into programming, you should do C++ or Java; VB is not all that good.

He is probably using VB to make a concept of what he is trying to make and then he will rewrite it to another programming language.

HOW MANY TIMES MUST I REPEAT MYSELF? This project was only a tester of VB6 as a friend of mine wanted to know how to use it and I'd never used it before. Hell, my actual project that i'm working on myself uses C++ and HTML5, mixed in with a bit of a few other programming languages. Read the comments BEFORE you post one yourself!!

Btw, because this is a work in progress (well, mainly by others from the TechnoMagick Team) and yet Microsoft have stopped all work on Notepad. That's why. Also, some versions of Notepad don't compatibalise with some of the older formats, whilst all versions of TechnoMagick Notepad are due to be compatible with all versions. I've got the old Input Box because that's what keeps it compatible.

Robby, I'm sorry about the multipost thing. My internet server was glitching and I couldn't use the edit button af the time for some reason however I got it fixed now.

Software update! Also, read the Updated ReadMe for more info. Some people from TechnoMagick entirely renovated it, and I made a couple of edits myself... I think we covered everything people said was missing atm... Enjoy! Play around with it. If you get a bug or error, please screenshot it and post it here. Thanks!!

 

EDIT: Also, Zooty, a bit of what you said went down to TechnoMagick as a suggestion, therefore, you are now un-banned from the Scoot Empire. Congrats  Plus, the old T.M. Notepad will still be open for download, so people can compare and notify of any bugs that weren't fixed, and so that people can come up with ideas they might not think up with the v2. *V2 uses more memory than v1, however it is about 11.95 kb, so it **shouldn't** be too bad unless you have a low Hard Drive. Enjoy!!*
